more than an idea

Jamie heard Sebastian as the door. He winced at the thought that he'd broken his heart, somehow. He hated himself for telling him the truth like that. How would he ever fix this?

He reached for track pants and pulled on dark T-shirt.

"What's the matter?" He winced when Sasha came back to the bedroom.

"Its nothing. I guess. Just a peculiar old drunk, I reckon. Sebastian was wondering if you, perhaps, see him out." She touched his chest then and kissed him on the cheek.

"You sure it was nothing else?" He was sure there was more to it.

"Perhaps, he's coming around." She shrugged as she went to get dressed.

"Maybe so." He wasn't going to count on it. He went on down stairs then to the kitchen where he saw Sebastian working on a concoction that might need a full glass of cream in order to make it drinkable.

"What's going on?" He looked at Anita then Sebastian.

"Stranger, in the parlor." Anita told him.

"Really?" Jamie slyly smiled. "Well, lets find out who this mystery guest is, shall we?"

Sebastian just looked at him and said nothing. Neither of them followed him, either.

Naturally, the old fool was out cold. Jamie knew immediately who he was even if he hadn't seen him in decades.

"Aye!" Jamie gave him a good shake. He looked like shit. What he needed was a hot shower and real food. He looked so fragile now. Jamie couldn't quite comprehend how the old devil had found them. "Dad! What the fuck are you doing here?"

Naturally, his Dad looked up at him as if he hadn't a clue what he was doing here, either.

"Sebastian!" Jamie called for him then, and he came into the parlor quickly. "Sebastian, no need to be afraid."

"Who is he?" Sebastian winced.

"Why, he's your Grand-daddy. Wanted to spend the New Year with us, and to meet his grand children of course." Jamie grinned.

Of course, his Dad looked at him as if it couldn't possibly be true. But the more he looked at Sebastian, his gaze soften. Jamie just smiled.
