When Sasha awoke, she wondered what time it was. Possibly, time to feed Risa, but she wasn't there in the hospital room. She was worried. Her first thought. Where was Jamie and the baby?
Why had she said Jamie's name first? Well, of course, she'd say Jamie. It was on the tip of her tongue. He was....her other half. Family. Husband. Mate. For life.
"Can you call my husband?" She asked the nurse right away. She needed to see the baby. She needed to see Jamie. It was as if her heart was already smiling just thinking about them. Thinking her husband was taking care of their daughter.
Of course, she wanted to know what she had missed. Could anybody tell her?
"I feel a little bit like Rip Van Winkle, but well rested." She told the nurse. She was all smiles. They'd called Jamie, and he would be there soon with the baby.
"Well, you look amazing," was all the nurse would tell her.
And then she saw them. She felt a sigh of relief. It was just as it should be, right? There was a slight irry feeling, but it was so faint, and it didn't alarm her at all. No words had to be spoken. She embrassed them both with tears of joy. There was nothing to be sad about. Jamie kissed her forehead, and it felt as if this moment was sealed now. There was nothing to wonder about her past with him.
