It was just an ear infection. No cause for real alarm. But Sasha didn't feel that way. What if Risa lost her hearing? Something awful were to happen. Awful. All because of her. Sasha was at her wits end. Then when she heard about the accident Rhys was in she passed out completely.
"Sash, he's in surgery. He was on his way here." Jamie told her. Holding her hand. At least he was here. Jamie was here with her. She didn't want him here. She wanted him as far as he could be. It would do no one any good. No one.
She begged for him to go, but he wouldn't hear of it.
"Don't expect the worst, please." He promised Rhys would be fine. Everything would be fine. It just would.
Her eyes were tired. She could barely keep them open. Just how long could Rhys be in surgery?
Finally, Franny appeared and Sasha was so happy to see her. She didn't want to have Jamie around, but he wouldn't go. It was as if he were stuck to her like glue. Naturally, Sasha told Franny about the ear infection. "Can't believe she'd be this sick, already." Franny pushed her fingers through Sasha's hair and told her everything would be all right. It would be.
"When? When would things ever be all right again?" Sasha didn't see it happening anytime soon. She felt so lathergic and now even her bones ached as she laid in a hospital bed, herself. She wasn't well, but maybe she wasn't suppose to be.
Franny took her temp.
"What? What is it?" Sasha tried to lift her head up.
"You may have the flu, Sash." Franny told her, and then she left. Sasha looked around. All she really had was Jamie to take care of her. She looked over at him wondering why wasn't he sick?
