Sebastian could sense it. He'd ruin it. He would. Finally, met a girl in Hollyoaks and he'd probably do something awful like choke or worse, vomit on her. He didn't know why girls made him so..so sick. He guessed.
Really, it wasn't that horrible. Kind of intoxicating, he guessed. But he was bad. Bad when it came to thinking of things to say. How to act. What if he passed out while he was Anita? He'd managed just fine with the books being put away. And now a trip to the Black Cat.
Of course, it didn't help much, the bloke behind the bar, going on about him. Sebastian didn't know what to say when the bartender gave them free Sundaes. How old did the bartender think they were, Sebastian thought, nine.
He was almost fifteen and wanted to be as sophisticated as possible. Of course, he didn't know what he'd do to act it. Possibly smoke a cigarette for starters. Share a bottle of wine. He could do that. Anything but be a pre-teen which so many thought.
"Wasn't that sweet?" Anita liked her sundae.
"Dunno, really." Sebastian gritted a smile. He pulled his hair over the side of his forehead and across his ear very timidly as he watched Anita eat.
"Aren't you going to have some?" Anita looked at him.
Sebastian nodded, but didn't want her watch him. She was making him nervous, and he hated it so much.
Just then he took a spoonful and the chocolate slid down his shirt. Sebastian tensed.
"Don't worry," Anita smiled and she took a napkin and caught most of the ice cream just in time.
"Thanks." Sebastian looked at Anita. He smiled. He had the confidence to get through this as he ate his ice cream then. But just as they were finishing and he stood up to walk out with Anita. He slipped on his own feet and fell back on the floor. Completely out of it.
